Prades Epic Trail
Sat 07 Nov 2026 · Prades, Tarragona
a €13k prize purse and a summit finish on Prades' highest point — an "Epic" positioned as a prize race, rare at this scale in Catalonia · Our read

EasyModHardV.hardExtremeBrutal
Endurance load on ITRA's km-effort scale — not steepness or technical terrain.
How we measure
km-effort = distance + climb/100, ITRA's published scale: every 100 m of climb counts like ~1 km of distance. Six levels, Easy → Brutal, from the hardest distance of the event. The climb figure (m/km) shows how vertical the course is.Drive

Our take
The catch · Our read
50K = km-esforç 74 with a 12 h cutoff and a high-altitude summit finish — that's a hard, exposed day; the purse pulls a fast front pack
Who it's for · Our read
ambitious trail racers (prize-hunters welcome) and families (kids race); the 50K not for anyone under-trained on vertical
Also nice · Our read
full ladder from a 7k kids race to a 74-effort 50K, semi-technical Serra de Prades, UnitTrail points, big money
In a word · Our read
harder than "49 km" suggests — 2,500 m+ and a summit finish make it a mountain 50K, not a rolling one
