Our take
The catch · Our read
championship field = fast pace; Montserrat terrain is rocky and the dawn name hints at an early cold start; D+/cutoffs live only in the unscraped guide
Who it's for · Our read
competitive trail runners wanting a championship-grade 22 with a name; not for a casual first trail
Also nice · Our read
iconic Montserrat backdrop, a memorial-race tradition, live broadcast — the marquee event of this chunk
In a word · Our read
the Montserrat classic — like a shorter, storied XTERRA counterpart to the big massif ultras
